i think the so called more aerodynamically styled fronts are a bit of ruse anyway because the requirement to get air to flow through the radiator.

as for the looks i dont really mind it even if it has a sort of stromtrooper look about it. 6 speed auto big tick however wonder why they didnt drop the 8 speed from the challenger PS in it.

Independent rear ends seem to freqently waste tyres .

I was thinking of keeping the 3.2 engine for the auto MQ, and getting the wife to do the transfer since it is she that wants the auto, then I could disguise it by putting a pretend DPF on to make it all look factory...update on my mates AT3 worn out in 10k , he went back to the shop and they had already sacked the fitter and brought up the alignment they did on the computer and it was only half done...and they won't replace the tyres they want him to come back after 3 weeks after they have talked to the tyre rep...I would put the name up but the Mods would not like that..also have an oil question: I have a load of Castrol 5w 30 Edge and Penrite 5w 40 HPR, (about 60 litres all up) is there any additive for these oils to make them DPF compatible. I have been to the companies sites and the Castrol says the spec API CF, suits DPF but the drum says don't use in DPF...

Can we keep this thread on topic please fellas?

There are other threads for tyres and oils.

How much more appealing would it look if it only shared the front of the Pajero Sport, the squared off wheel arch would of also matched the new tray :!:

Just put a deposit down on a new 19 GLS premium (what was the exceed)
Paid $55,200 with canopy, mats, tow pack and tyres swapped out to BF KO2.

I personally love the new look over the MQ

Pretty huge tech upgrades in this new model, drives much smoother with the new auto too the old auto used to bump into gears pretty hard occasionally.
This is my fourth after a Mk, Mn and a MQ exceed.

May not get it for a few weeks due to colours being hard to choose this early on and getting a canopy fitted.

Good to see it finally come with a 265/60/18 stock the 245 on the MQ was tiny,
Unsure if I’ll stick with the stock size on the KO2 or go up a size or two.

Will be interesting to see what size shoes will fit on the MR.
The shape of guards seems to possibly be a little more restrictive than the MQ.
I could be wrong though

Put a deposit down on Saturday,
Black paint
Paid $55200 with
4x 265 60 18 BFG k02 AT $1520 bob Jane
Genuine towbar $1120rrp
Flexi glass canopy with central locking and rack bars $3500rrp
Floor mats and a full tank
I’ll probably get the front two windows tinted too, I had the dealer add all the accessories to save me the hassle.
Not a screaming deal but traded MQ exceed for
$32k 3 years 28,000k

Offered 25k change over trading my mq on an mr gls premium with tow bar electric brakes mats head and light protectors which worked out to be around 50k

Pretty dissapointed in the change over. My MQ is MY17 GLS and in very good condition.

Seen one today on the road, my god that front end is HUGE  compared to the MQ
Like everything new, you would grow to accept it.

I noticed also the Toyota Hilux Rugged & Rogue has a similar bold fog light housing but not as pronounced

oh well took a MR in a auto for a drive today. What a big difference between the mn and the MR .The mn is like and old dog compare to the MR less road noise more response with plenty of power. The auto was smooth and changed nicely through the gears and better ride and heaps of ground clearance. taking the 6 speed next week for a spin to compare apparently they have changed the gearing ratio compare to the mq and has way more power from doing that.
