MN Triton oil and DPF

Postby snowline on Sun Feb 10, 2019 10:43 am

I have a 2015 MN Triton. It was one of the last ones in stock before the next model release.

The manual says 5W-30 oil. So off I go to Repco. Bought me some 5W-30 Castrol Edge goodness. (A3/B4)

Then I read on the bottle "not suitable for engines fitted with DPFs"

I thought my car was fitted with a DPF?

Why would this oil not be suitable for a vehicle fitted with a DPF?

What damage if any would occur by using it?

Thanks for any help.

No DPF on MNs.
Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
