REAR SHOCKS

REAR SHOCKS

Postby WUNSIE on Mon Apr 08, 2019 5:45 pm

Hi fellas, I,m getting mixed replies, can someone please confirm if the rear shocks for a ML,MN Triton will or wont bolt directly onto the rear of a MQ, and will be of the correct length in regards to length both fully compressed and fully extended,
Cheers fellas Ive looked back thru forums but was unable to find out ;)
When looking at suspension sites some say( fit Triton 06 on ) others state ( fits 06=16 )

I’m 99% sure they will fit and be appropriate for the rear of a MQ (I have it from a good source just not done it myself)

Fronts also fit BUT the spring rate are not good due to the lighter engine.

Will be fitting some ml ultimate struts with ml factory springs to a mq with steel bull bar in the next week as a trial (not going to put the HD springs in as it was at 585mm in the ml). Could not find my old bilstien rear shocks otherwise they would have also been fitted to the mq

Did this during the week.
Fitted the ML struts with factory coil springs also from the ML

Lifted the front by 30mm and it rides fantastic.

So smooth, would not work for all applications as I think it is probably now just over standard height, maybe 10mm above standard but what I wanted to achieve on a. Vehicle i don’t own

That's a good result Sel, and useful to know that ML parts can be repurposed for those that want a cheap lift.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
