In Australia, fuel pumps are +/- 0.3% when delivering 2litres or more at standard temperature. (Anything above or below... no idea)thebaton wrote:Also I honestly wonder about the accuracy of the servo fuel pumps now
RHK, you are correct. Speedo should not show less than your actual speed. ADR 18/03 but can show a higher amount.RHKTriton wrote:The worry for us in Vic is that we get clobbered if we go 2kph over a limit. That is about a needle width on a lot of speedos.
I don't think any speedos are allowed to show less than your actual speed these days.
Re the fuel, I'm sometimes tempted to have a calibrated container on board to check what the pumps deliver but then consider, rego, insurance and tolls are the real ripoffs. ( don't actually make your car go from a to b)

I'm been getting 8km/l (12.5 l per 100km) regularly at 100kmh highway driving (that's 600km from full tank).
The car was suffering severe loss of power which was fixed under warrant with new fuel pump and suction control valve.
However the poor fuel economy remains.
Can anyone recommend a Triton mechanic that can resolve this issue?

Yes, it's a bit heavy at 2.6t and running mud tyres ect but that's fairly piss poor when I compare it to our old school 100 series cruiser,
