Hi everybody, just bought a 2016 triton basic, eager to learn in here lots of things to make it a great 4x4 machine.

Welcome to the forum.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Yes Sir, I will put it right away, basic was a just somthing that came to my mind to describe a really basic configuration, it has steel wheels, electric windows, no abs, no double din screen, no other extras whatsoever. :D

Well, that's interesting.

That is what we would call an "MN", but made a year after the new model (MR) was introduced here. If I remember correctly, a similar thing happened between ML and MN models, where South American production carried on a bit longer than that in Thailand (where our vehicles are made).

I think we'd be interested to know more about the specifications. Which engine does it have, for example?

Sounds almost like they're just using up the parts bin.

Interesting that items such as ABS would be omitted these days, shows how manufacturers won't put in a cents worth more than required legally or by the market.

Still, a great platform to play with - enjoy.
