viewtopic.php?f=22&t=17446&start=1700#p557437 Update:
After many attempts to ring the mitsubishi national number 1300 131211 (given to me by the dealer)....being on hold up 20 mins or never receiving a call back when I selected to "book a call back" I finally managed to speak to human being on Tuesday 10 March......I gave the details and he promised to look into my case.
On Wednesday 11 March the dealer service manager sent me a txt message saying my car had been booked in for a service today....seeking an explanation I rang him...he said the txt was sent in error...but also remarked that Ithe gentleman I spoke to the day before was the national warranty manager and that he hoped things would get moving now.
I got advice today (12 March) that MMA will give me a long engine replacement..(thanks MMA for doing the right thing)......however although vehicle has been at the dealership for 3 weeks the new engine will not arrive until April 4th....Having read in this forum of replacement engines failing I tried to pin down some details about the new engine....no direct answer was given - just an instance that a new engine would be installed. The service manager, plainly a bit more relaxed now that he was able to pass on good news, indicated he had seen this problem many times before with combustion gases leaking into coolant system....
I forgot to ask about a loan vehicle....dough!!!....
Next step: I will send an email along the lines "Gubbs" suggests above.....I don't want to do this more than once!...
