MN 4x4 sensor worn out?

Postby Jonesnp81 on Thu Jul 02, 2020 9:07 pm

Hi all, have had throw bearing replaced in MN Triton 18ish months ago under warranty. Since then 4x4 light hasn’t functioned. Dealer tells me today that the switch/sensor ‘is worn out’ pretty much passing the buck on it not working after they dropped the gearbox for the beating work. 4x4 has been used sparingly since new so find it hard to believe a part that should be designed and fit for purpose is ‘worn out’. I’m thinking they’re just trying to avoid responsibility. Anyone else had similar happen?

Perseverance will be your friend. If indeed it only failed whilst warranty work was being undertaken then a person who is familiar with vehicles would logically be able to link the two issues.
Might be time to ask to speak with who ever they report to and so on.
Good luck you catch more flies with honey.
