Too much oil

Postby lovestriton on Sun Jan 09, 2022 8:42 am

Hi Guys,,
I'm not having much luck with this holiday. I just checked the dipstick and it's full as high as I think it can go. Could it be a case that I'm getting diesel fuel in the oil ?

I probably have to drain it before I can make a move. What could be the cause on a 3.2 l Triton.
Thanks

Did you have a service done at 180000? They should have done tappets then, so the injector ipes would be on their 6th tightening, so are due for changing.

Its possible they are leaking internally. One way to test is to set oil level to normal and run a program on a scan tool called fuel leakage test a few times. Then recheck the oil level and see if it has risen, confirming internal leakage. You could always just drive it for a few kms and keep check on it that way.
