Was a clear. typical Castrol oil, very thin as all 5w/30 are. I hate them . This country needs a 40 grade. I have never been guilty of putting a 30 grade oil in anything. Bad enough on a cool, day, but on 35 to 40 deg day it turns to water. You can hear the difference in the engine noise. They have a dealer oil with a descripton close to that but don't know what the EX bit is. They seemed like good blokes there. so I hope they got right. They were doing about 3 jobs at once.
Cheers
Don't use 40 oil, or DPF will die quicker.
5w-30 or 0w-30 is the recommonded as per service manual, now newer gen will use c5 0w-20 very soon, all these thin oil protects your engine better and gives dpf longer life.
