Dont think we have done this yet. When you all get a chance go and measure your heights from the center of the wheel to the underside of the guard. I know there will be alot of variation due to aftermarket gear etc but will still be interesting. Think sam said somewhere that standard should be 545mm (at the front I assume)
Sheit! Just measured my heights all round.
FL was 509mm
FR was 517mm
RL was 578mm
RR was 584mm
Whole left side of mine is lower.
mmmm must be the big ass that sits on that side of the car :o
Hope the MOF doesnt read this.
I will check the heights again after the lift on Friday and let ya's know the difference.
The real test is to do it just before you go on a trip with everyone in the car, all the gear and water and fuel, that'll give you a worst case scenario! Isn't it the ground clearence that really matters? Haven't really looked, but it's normally on of the diffs which is lowest.
He who dies with the most toys, wins It's not the size of the dog in the fight that matters...
Jitsukablue, Its just mearly for interest sake to see how all the vehicles are sitting on the road, if there level (unlike mine) if people have had saging with the standard springs and how much height people are getting out of their lifted springs etc. The ground clearence will be affected by suspension but will also be affected by different size tyres. That wasn't where I was going with this thread.
Buzzy could you get your ute crossed up so a back wheel is of the ground and measure the front and rear wheel travel from tyre to under side of flare
Want to do some comparisons
It looks like Carrolls are changing my springs in front because of sag they are sitting at below standard height and are being changed hopefully next week with luck
