Had a set of elect widows stuff up on an old car. Had a electrical guy look at em and he gave me the best advice I have heard yet.
"Never use the auto down/up to the full extent." Have a listen to the motor as it keeps running until the electrics feels the power drain and turns it off. In that time damage is done to the motor/regulator. When doing it manually you can tell when the window is up/down quicker thus causing less wear and tear.
Made sense to me. No further problems since then although just jinxed myself I guess.
