Canopy glass

Postby Phil L on Thu Jan 10, 2019 2:25 pm

I have an ML dual cab with a high roof ARB canopy on it.

The rear door glass has gone missing along with the strut hangers that glue onto the glass.

I have been to see ARB about buying just the drivers side hanger so I can replace the glass with polycarbonate.

They say I need to buy the whole back glass as a unit which I don't want do as I don't want the same thing happening again.

Does anyone have the remnants of a previously broken rear glass with the hangers still attached which they would like to part with?

If you still have the struts , then the hangers are a pretty standard item, just a ball and you should be able to source from an industrial supplier/ or mobile strut replacement guy?

I broke a side window and bought the entire replacement from ARB, but I did what you suggested but replaced with a alloy window rather than polycarbanate.

I may have parts, but will have to take a look through my bits bin.

HI Phil.
I have 2 ..ARB part no. RDO96931
A piece of ribbed steel about 300mm long by 20mm wide with a steel ball on the end?
The rest of the window is on the road into the Dig Tree.
I'm in the Redlands near Brisbane.
