Crankshaft movement and fault code, plus a oil leak.

Postby Gavgav238 on Mon Jul 08, 2019 4:51 am

My 2013 Triton has a error code P0336 (crankshaft position sensor A range/performance) It has side to side crankshaft movement and a oil leak from the main crank seal which i found after trying a new sensor. Has anyone had anything like this happen before?

MN? Nah mate, they usually cook themselves to death long before they wear out. :P

More seriously, do you have the 10 year drivetrain warranty? Maybe best to have a chat to your dealer about it.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Just a update it snapped the crank due to a loose main cap bolt.

Had it ever been apart since factory assembly?

Hey Gav,
Did you have a vibration at idle as part of the symptoms with this broken crank.
